ARS Electronica Submission. Flaming Lotus Girl

March 30th, 2009

Duration: 3′00″

ARS Electronica is the annual prestigious Austrian electronic art competition. The Flaming Lotus have embarked in many trips along with their art pieces in the past years. This time they’re introducing the Serpent Mother to the famed festival, since there’s so much electronics in the sculpture. Of course it’s made not to be obvious. That video presented here was used to submit the piece to the festival, but the voice-over has been removed.

In 2006 the Flaming Lotus Girls made themselves remembered with an incredible fire sculpture they called the Serpent Mother. The piece has since been to Burning Man, Amsterdam, and around the San Francisco Bay Area. Of course they’re always for a new place to show it, don’t hesitate to contact them.
